As stewards of service in Troup and Coweta Counties, our chapter is deeply rooted in the legacy of social action and advocacy that has defined Delta Sigma Theta since its founding in 1913. Our commitment to service is reflected in our annual events and the impactful initiatives we undertake in our community.

As members of the Troup-Coweta Alumnae Chapter, we stand united in our commitment to social action, striving to create positive change and uphold the principles of justice and equality. Together, we continue the legacy of our 22 Founders who marched in the Suffrage March of 1913, championing the rights of all.

National Social Action Commission: Under the direction of the National Social Action Commission, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority mobilizes its members to advocate for predetermined positions and objectives. Established in 1963, the commission plays a vital role in providing information and direction on current civil rights issues. Delta Sigma Theta has a rich history of contributing to the movement for equal political, educational, and economic rights for all Black people.

- Active engagement in legislative, executive, judicial, and regulatory affairs at the national, state, and local levels.
- Promotion of enlightened citizenship by providing fact-based information to elected officials and voters.
- Research and advocacy of critical issues affecting our community.
- Monitoring legislation to protect the rights and privileges of citizenship.
- Voter registration, education, and mobilization to encourage civic participation.
- Public education on public policy issues.
- Encouragement of Deltas to run for elected office, fostering representation that reflects the diversity of our community.
