GREETINGS and WELCOME to the website of Troup-Coweta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.! We are excited about the promise of a return to something close to normalcy as we transition back to in-person programs and events offered by our chapter.
The year 2020 brought challenges that forced us to think outside of the box in order to remain active in our endeavors via a virtual environment. We have withstood the test of time and we pride ourselves by following in the footsteps of our Founders. Please join us in the work ahead as we continue to strive to be the strongest advocate in the communities we serve through sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Our goal is to provide students, parents, and residents of the community with an experience that allows all to challenge existing norms and traditions and to experiment with unfamiliar skills and talents. We were founded on Christian principles, and there is no doubt in our mind that we all bowed at some point during the COVID-19 pandemic and prayed to God to heal our land. As we begin to emerge from the pandemic, please know that we must continue to pray. Scripture tells us that “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” |
God is still in control and he remains in charge! With that in mind, we encourage you to lean into this moment as we continue to seek innovative ways to provide programs and services that coincide with our Five-Point Programmatic Thrusts: I. Economic Development, II. Educational Development, III. International Awareness and Involvement, IV. Physical and Mental Health, and V. Political Awareness and Involvement.
As we move forward, we celebrate the foundation laid by our Founders and Past Presidents on the local and National level of our beloved sorority. I am elated to be a part of such a magnificent group of phenomenal ladies! As quoted in the words of The Apostle Paul from 1 Corinthians 2:9, “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” We are on a mission and we are advancing to new heights during the upcoming biennium!
We are grateful for the blessings that HE has bestowed upon us during the pandemic. We are grateful to our Lord and Savior for his favor, and we are grateful to each of you… our members, family, and friends for your obedience in stewardship, your love, and your support in carrying out God’s plan. Thank you for all that you do to support the members of Troup-Coweta Alumnae Chapter and the communities we serve. We encourage you to “like” and follow us on our Facebook page.
